It is a natural, safe and effective therapy as an antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, decontracting and oxygen carrier.
OXYGEN-OZONE THERAPY: the ideal antioxidant treatment for musculoskeletal pains
Ozone is a gas that, in nature, is formed in the atmosphere thanks to electrical discharges that modify the stable molecular structure of oxygen (O2), transforming it into O3. An ozone molecule is therefore formed by three oxygen atoms and is unstable: one of the three atoms tends to separate to join other molecular structures, causing the oxygen molecule (O2) to return to its stable form. But it is precisely this instability that provides its beneficial properties. The ozone created in this way forms a thin layer in the atmosphere that absorbs and blocks part of the UV spectrum. Ozone is constantly produced in the upper atmosphere and, since it is heavier than air, it tends to accumulate on the earth's surface. In its descent it combines with air pollutants, carrying out a real cleaning and sanitizing of the air. Through ozone, nature sets in motion a system that we could define as self-cleaning. When ozone mixes with rainwater, it forms hydrogen peroxide, a compound that promotes plant growth.
OZONE AND HEALTH BENEFITS
The instability of ozone and therefore its ability to turn into oxygen gives it an incredible oxidizing capacity that kills bacteria by attacking the molecular structure of their protective membranes and altering their internal enzymes. In addition, it is also extremely effective on viruses, fungi, mold, pesticides, heavy metals, nitrates, nitrites and other potentially harmful substances. Furthermore, it carries oxygen and performs numerous other biological functions. The main properties of oxygen-ozone therapy are:
SOME OF THE APPLICATIONS OF OZONE THERAPY
• Herniated lumbo-sacral disc
• Arthrosis (especially of the knee, shoulder)
• Neck and lumbar pain
• Musculoskeletal pain (epicondylitis, painful shoulder)
• Antioxidant effect
• Metabolic unblocking
• Venous insufficiency in the lower limbs (varices, capillaries)
• Vascular and tension headaches
• Joint rheumatism
• Adjuvant in chemo / radio therapy
• Peripheral arteriopathies
• Herpes Simplex and Zoster
• Antibiotic resistant infections
• Degenerative maculopathy
• Neurovascular diseases
• Chronic fatigue syndrome
HOW IS IT PERFORMED?
There are various types of treatment:
MAJOR AUTOLOGOUS BLOOD TRANSFUSION:
By taking about 150 cc of blood from a vein in the patient's arm. The blood arrives in a certified bag. The needle is not detached from the patient's arm, and in the meantime, a special device inserts a gaseous mixture of oxygen and ozone into the bag and mixes it with the blood drawn. The tourniquet is then removed from the patient's arm, the bag is lifted and the blood flows back into the patient's body, enriched with ozone and all its beneficial effects.
MINOR AUTOLOGOUS BLOOD TRANSFUSION:
the process is similar to the major one, but a smaller amount of cc of blood is withdrawn.
SUBCUTANEOUS AND INTRAMUSCULAR INJECTIONS::
the oxygen-ozone mixture is injected in different quantities, in different ways and in different parts of the body, depending on the pathology to be treated.
RECTAL AND VAGINAL INSUFFLATIONS:
LA mixture of oxygen and ozone is injected into the respective areas through small catheters. The ozone thus comes into direct contact with tissues subject to infection, inflammation, irritation, pain or other uncomfortable conditions.
